Please bring the following items for you Day Tour. If you have any questions about what to bring or wear, please contact us.
Important Packing Information
Please come to the trailhead with all of the following items. These items should be ready to be packed into a backpack immediately upon your arrival. If you have questions about any of the gear you intend to bring, please let us know.
Less is More
- Remember… any unnecessary items you pack will be adding extra weight to your pack, and thus creating a heavier load and more strain on your body on the trail
- Strive to pack multi-use, compact, lightweight items
- Any items deemed excessive for the trip may be declined and left behind at the trailhead at the discretion of the tour guide

What to Pack
Keeping in mind that most of the gear required for this trip will already be provided for you (e.g. food, packs, packrafts, paddles, life jackets, water filtration, etc.), please bring the following items:
- Water bottles (2) / hydration bladder capable of carrying at least 2 liters of water
- Hiking boots with ankle coverage
- Synthetic or wool socks
- Quick-drying pants
- Moisture-wicking underwear
- Moisture-wicking, long-sleeve shirt or sun hoody
- Lightweight fleece, insulated-jacket, or mid-layer
- Swim wear
- Rain jacket
- Rain pants
- Hat for the sun
- Sunglasses
- Sunscreen
- Insect repellant
- Headlamp (fully charged or with new batteries)
- Water shoes (i.e. sandals, Crocs)
- Menstrual products (if applicable)
- If tour is in Sept / Oct, also bring:
- Additional mid-layer (e.g. fleece, insulated-jacket)
- Thermal underwear / base layer bottoms
- A warm beanie
- Cameras
- Feel free to bring a phone or small camera, but nothing too large
- Also, do not pack any drones for, per restriction, they are not allowed in Designated Wilderness Areas
What to Wear on the Day of the Tour
On the day of the tour, please arrive at the trailhead outfitted in the following gear from the above packing list. The rest of your gear will be loaded into your pack.
- Hiking boots with ankle coverage
- Synthetic or wool socks

- Moisture-wicking, long-sleeve shirt or sun hoody
