Experience the Future of Adventuring

Packrafts are a game-changing piece of outdoor gear, enabling a more adventurous lifestyle and unlocking experiences that are otherwise unattainable. As a result, packrafting is quickly becoming one of the fastest growing outdoor recreation sports in America. With their portability and versatility, packrafts are the ultimate tool for any adventurer looking to explore the great outdoors.

What is a Packraft?

A packraft is an extremely packable, lightweight, and durable inflatable kayak:

  • Packable

    • Unlike kayaks, which require a car rack or truck bed to transport, packrafts can be easily carried inside any car. And unlike traditional inflatable kayaks, which are large and heavy, packrafts are small and lightweight. This means anyone of any age can easily transport them via car. But you can also through them in a backpack and hike to an alpine lake, or even attach them to your bike for easy transportation to the local lake and back. Most packrafts usually compress to the size of a large paper towel when deflated and rolled up

  • Lightweight

    • Packrafts typically weigh only a few (~7) pounds, in contrast to kayaks which can weigh 30-75 pounds. This makes packrafts significantly lighter and easier to carry, allowing them to be combined with other sports like backpacking, biking, skiing, and more

  • Versatile

    • Packrafts are incredibly versatile and can be used for a multitude of water activities. They are designed to be durable and customizable, making them suitable for traversing thousands of miles of coastline, navigating technical whitewater, paddling with your dog, fly fishing on an alpine lake, or even hauling back a deer from a hunting mission. With their versatility and adaptability, packrafts are the ultimate tool for any water-based adventure

Thanks to their versatile design, packrafts can be used in a wide variety of adventures. Some examples include:

  • Flatwater packrafting (e.g. lakes, ponds, canals)

  • Urban packrafting (e.g. Lake Union, WA)

  • Whitewater packrafting

  • Backpacking + packrafting (e.g. alpine lake packrafting)

  • Biking + packrafting (i.e. bikepacking)

  • Fishing + packrafting

  • Sea packrafting

  • Canyoneering + packrafting

  • Skiing + packrafting

  • Et al.

As you can see, the possibilities are endless! Packrafts offer adventurers the ability to explore nature in new and exciting ways, allowing them to reach remote locations and experience the outdoors like never before.
